The field of mechatronics combines electronics, robotics, mechanics, instrumentation, process control and industrial automation. Curriculum includes computer-aided drafting and design, applied mechanics, materials engineering, quality control, manufacturing methods and processes, computer usage, mathematics, physics and oral and written communications. The courses will stress critical thinking, planning and problem solving.

MCC’s Mechatronics Engineering Technology curriculum prepares students to use engineering principles and technical skills in developing and testing automated and electromechanical systems. Coursework includes instruction in prototype testing, manufacturing and operational testing, systems analysis and maintenance procedures.
