Meet Our SGA President, Sasha Eury

Sasha Eury is the 2023-2024 president of MCC’s Student Government Association. She is currently a healthcare technician at Stanly Regional Medical Center, where she started her career in healthcare 17 years ago as a recovery audit contractor.

Sasha will graduate in May 2024 with an Associate Degree in Nursing. She plans to pursue her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Appalachian State University starting in Fall 2024.

Sasha has enjoyed her role as an MCC Ambassador, in addition to her term as president. She credits nursing faculty members for inspiring her and the other members of her cohort as they near their graduation.

“I am part of such a special, caring group of students,” explains Sasha. “These people are willing to go the extra mile for patient care, they are honest, trustworthy, and I would be confident to have any of them care for me or my family member.”

In her role as president, Sasha is supported by MCC’s Student Services team, in addition to fellow Student Ambassadors Carter Griffin, Olivia Thomas and Judith Mendoza.
