MCC Presents Annual Student Awards

On April 24th MCC celebrated its best and brightest as the College community came together to present annual academic awards.
Trustees, faculty and families were on hand to recognize top performers in the Career and College Promise Programs, Continuing Education, Arts and Sciences, Career and Technical Education, Gunsmithing, Health and Human Services, Club Awards and the MCC Legend Awards.
This year’s recipients were Bryston Auman, Frankie Joe Bowley III, Mary Britt, Christy Brown, Colin Bryant, Ross Buie, Zoe Cooper, Daniel Cruse, Kevonna Dixon, Javier Dominguez, Tucker Dunn, Caleb Elkins, Tanijha Gaddy, Haley Gentry, Kimberly Gerdes, Nuria Gonzalez, Carter Griffin, Drew Harmon, Cody Harris, Latonya Harris, Leon (Tripp) Robert Hinson, Devin Hurley, Donald Jackson, Miranda Leon Mayoral, Maribel Leon Zavala, Megon Letterlough, Yanely Merida-Oliver, Holly Millikan, Trey Myrick, Jaycie Beth Parsons, Marycarmen Perez Gonzalez, Kathy Singleton, Maycie Singleton, Sasha Smith, Richard Steed, Lauren Raeanna Tauscher, Harley Thompson, Jeniel Vazquez, Christina Webb and Jayla Williams.
The College also recognized Ms. Amanda Beaman, Department Chair of Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy, who won this year’s Excellence in Teaching Award at Montgomery Community College also placing in the top three for the honor across all 58 of North Carolina’s community colleges!
