MCC Celebrates 2024 BLET Grads

On May 6, five Basic Law Enforcement Training students celebrated their graduation from MCC’s BLET program!

Simon Phillip Bourgeois, Vickie Marie Lindsay Hyde, Matthew Wade Perfitt, Erica Lee Smith and Bryan Matthew Waln received their certificates of completion with family members, college administration and trustees in attendance.

MCC also welcomed sponsoring agencies, law enforcement guests, instructors, volunteers and alumni of the program dating back to 1977! Tonight’s opening prayer was provided by Montgomery County Sheriff Pete Herron, and our guest speaker was the Honorable Thai Vang, NC District Court Judge for Montgomery/Stanly Counties.

The top firearms award went to Simon Bourgeois. The top academic award went to Erica Smith.
